Motorrad Riders is planning a long weekend ‘Garden of England’ tour for later in 2026. Dates will; be announced later in the year. Mark Webster will be organising and leading the trip.
Friday (Day 1 – Date TBA)
- Arrive at the hotel in Royal Tonbridge Wells (RTW). There are a number of suitably sized hotels in RTW and it is central for exploring Kent. Will advise on a hotel, when I have chosen a suitable one.
Saturday (Day 2)
- Ride to the Cinque Port of Rye. There is m/bike parking by the harbour. Lots of places to grab coffee and a bite to eat. Short walk to the famous 600 year old Mermaid Inn dating back to 1156. Worth a look, we won’t go in although I have stayed there!
- Ride on to the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel-le-Ferne The Battle of Britain Memorial. Take lunch here.
- Ride on for an afternoon to Leeds Castle www.leeds-castle.com. I have visited before a fine castle and garden with moat. Cuppa here!
- Free return to the hotel in RTW
Sunday (Day 3)
- Ride out to Chatham Dockyard The Historic Dockyard Chatham – Your Big Day Out in Kent. Lots to see and do here. People can make their own decision on how long to stay or whether they move on somewhere else.
- Scenic route back to the hotel.
Monday (Day 4)
- Depart for home
This should be a great trip, hope you can join Motorrad Riders as we explore this interesting part of England.
